Local Courses for Young People in North Yorkshire

How can I find out about post 16 courses?
You can use the UCAS Progress online prospectus (this replaces Futures4Me) for couses in North Yorkshire excluding most of York. For York you can use this website.
You can find out information about providers (eg schools, colleges, academies, work-based learning providers, free schools, special schools, training providers, FE colleges, sixth form colleges, school sixth form, independent schools etc) and how to contact them.
- Explore and compare thousands of courses at local schools, colleges and work-based learning providers
- Search and save courses near you - search by postcode, subject and school, college or work-based learning provider
- List results by course or provider and view them on a map
- Log in and save your favourite courses so you can come back to them at any time
From the homepage use the search boxes to find courses, subjects or providers that maybe of interest. You will also need to put in your postcode or the name of the town where you would like to study. You can then select:
- The furthest distance you would like to travel to study
- The age range of the courses you would like to search for.
You can either type in the course (or subject) you are interested in, or the provider where you would like to study or both. The site will then return results linked to the choices you have made. You can use the guide GETTING STARTED WITH UCAS PROGRESS to help you.
The more you can find out the less there is of a chance that you will choose the wrong course or the wrong place.
