What is the 14-19 Area Wide Prospectus?


Answer

York and North Yorkshire have developed an online Area Wide Prospectus (AWP) for 14 to 19 year old learners.

As the name suggests, the AWP provides a web-based, searchable database of all local courses offered by providers in York and North Yorkshire for young people. Therefore, rather than learners manually flicking through multiple prospectuses, the AWP is an easy way to access courses on offer across York and North Yorkshire.

Who are the providers on the Area Wide Prospectus?


Answer

There are currently 91 providers details and courses listed on the AWP. A provider is a school, sixth form, FE college and work based learning providers.

Answer

Yes, all provisions available for 14-19 year old learners are listed on the AWP including:

  • Basic/Key Skills
  • GCSEs
  • AS levels
  • A levels
  • Vocational Qualifications
  • Diplomas and Apprenticeships.
